The WHITE VILLAGE FUND was conceived and founded as a reaction and positive action at a time when citizens are alianated from each other by life in big cities. At the same time, the villages in our country are being deserted either hit by floods or earthquakes or at time abandoned in ruins through neglect and migration.

Our members come from all over the world and we have come together united by a common goal: to build a better Tomorrow for some of the less fortunate, offering them Hope and the equipment and foundations which will help them create a better future for themselves.

Thus the WHITE VILLAGE FUND, a Non-Governmental Organization (N.G.O) non-profit making, non political and philanthropic organization, was created in the spring of 1996 (Athens Magistrate's Court Decision 2630-24/04/96).

Our first General Assembly of the Members was held on July 2nd. 1996 with Athens, Greece as a base and branches in many other cities in Greece, such as Thessaloniki, Volos, Kozani, Grevena. Kastoria, as well as in other countries- in Italy, Great Britain, the United States and Cyprus.

Since December of 2003 The “ WHITE VILLAGE FUND ” is number 296 on the

NGO list of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Also during that period of 2003 , ''WHITE VILLAGE'' activities are under the Auspices of the Ministry of Education. Since then “WHITE VILLAGE” reached an agreement with the Foundation of the “ NEW WORLD MUSEUM” to be provided with their subjects for use in the “ ELIMIA Children’s Museum ” . Besides its main aim , “WHITE VILLAGE” NGO, organizes many actions regarding children’s benefit ( Orphanage of Volos e.t.c) and people in need (homeless, refugees, women e.t.c).

January 31 of 2007, ANKO Development Company of the Region of West

Macedonia presented a complete proposal for the creation of “ELIMIA” Cultural Center

(Children’s Museum, Library, Children’s Workshops, Women’s workshops , e.t.c).

Late news : “White Village” Organization entered the Pre-production phase of the “ First Panhellenic Youth Festival under the title ''Θες Art?'' ( Do you want Art?) and the theme ''Unemployment – Creativity '', a pilot project working with and for unemployed youth .
